Professional
experience
Postdoctoral Researcher

Aug 2019 - present

Multiscale Energy and Materials lab, Louisiana Tech University

  • Designed, fabricated, tested a multicomponent test rig for evaluating the multi-phase cooling at saturation point

  • Conducted validation tests to evaluate the heat transfer performance of different thermal management systems

  • Fabricated/modified micro-nano structured copper surfaces for improving the cooling performance

  • Performed high speed imaging and comprehensive image/video processing to obtain the number and diameter of the bubbles using MATLAB image processing platform

University Lecturer

Mar 2020 - Jun 2020

Louisiana Tech University

  • Instructed the Elementary Fluid Mechanics at Zoom (group of 14 students)

  • Strengthened soft skills such as communication, decision making, leadership, listening, and excellent relationship building

Graduate Research Assistant

Sep 2013 - Feb 2019

Microfluidics lab, Louisiana Tech University

  • Designed, built, and characterized a counter-flow microfluidic thermal reactor for rapid and stable heating (up to 145 ºC/sec)

  • Applied rapid-prototyping techniques and developed a set-up consisting of fans, heat sinks, temperature controllers, and other thermal components to test the devices

  • Applied semiconductor process techniques such as mask design, photolithography, chemical wet etching, wafer dicing, wafer bonding to fabricate microfluidic thermal reactors

  • Carried out the CFD modeling of the thermal systems, all validated with experimental results
